Welcome to Leoparden, a charming café located at Svartbäcksgatan 20 in the heart of Uppsala, Sweden. This delightful venue is not just your average café; it elegantly doubles as an art studio, creating a vibrant atmosphere that is both inspiring and cozy. As soon as you step inside, you'll notice the eclectic decor—harsh, unpolished walls mingle with creative touches that truly make Leoparden feel like a haven for young creatives and art enthusiasts alike.

The café is praised for its friendly staff, who welcome you with warm smiles and a willingness to help make your experience enjoyable. As noted by customer Sierra Arnold, the environment is "eccentric" yet inviting, making it a perfect spot for hanging out with friends or engaging in a creative project.

If you’re looking for a place to relax while sipping expertly brewed coffee or enjoying simple yet satisfying snacks, Leoparden fits the bill perfectly. Nguyen Ha highlights that the café offers healthier alternatives to the typical offerings you might find at more conventional student spots, all at reasonable prices. It’s a refreshing contrast to the bustling student nations, providing a nicer space to unwind without breaking the bank.

The sense of community is palpable, as noted by Shine Smith, who appreciates the café’s role as a hub for creativity. While the ambiance can get lively, it often adds to the charm, particularly during events like the intriguing music quiz that Pontus Olsson enjoyed. Leoparden is truly about bringing people together through art and shared experience.

Moreover, it has served as a gallery space for local artists like Eric Axner-Norrman, showcasing the café's commitment to supporting the creative community. Eric’s positive experience reflects the welcoming nature of the staff and the unique environment that Leoparden fosters.

If you're in Uppsala, Leoparden is a must-visit. Whether you're there to grab a coffee, immerse yourself in art, or simply soak up the friendly atmosphere, you’re guaranteed to leave inspired. Stop by and discover this little gem—you won’t be disappointed!

Super cute cafe doubling as art studio. Eccentric environment and great interior. Staff are very friendly. Simple menu options and options for activities as well. Can be quite loud if studying but not too disruptive.

An excellent place to hang around in town. As cheap as your regular student nations but much nicer space and healthier snack alternatives.

Very cute café which is also a community oriented hub for young creatives. Funky but clean atmosphere. Only downside is they're seldom open :( recommended for sure!

Had an exhibition of my works in their gallery a weekend in mid-April this year. The personnel were very friendly and helped as much as they could. The harsh, unpolished walls and general industrial feel was much to my liking. Located smack in the centre of the city. All in all, it was really good.

It is a really nice place to be, study, just hang out or play a game. If I wouldn't have friends that recommended it, I would've probably missed out on this, as it doesn't look super inviting/interesting from the outside. But I was extremely pleasantly surprised, very nice people, VERY good cake and finally some student-friendly prices outside of the student nations; keep that great place going

This is a very very special place. It is styled like a stylish Brooklyn loft but has a comfortable warm relaxed feel. People over 16 can come in and have very cheap feel good snacks and drinks but you don’t have to buy anything ( lots don’t ). It feel like a complete safe haven for young people. People are doing all sort of things like meeting up with friends, working, doing art and playing board games. The staff are some of the loveliest people to chat to and talk with. There are also lots of events on that they do that look really fun !
